BlueTerm

Privacy Policy

Effective date:

This policy explains what the BlueTerm app ("the App") and this website keep, send and share, and the choices you have. BlueTerm needs no account. The data your Bluetooth devices send stays on your phone and your own network unless you choose to share it.

01Who is responsible

Mint-Soft ("we") develops BlueTerm and is responsible for the processing described here. Contact: app@mint-soft.com.

02Data that stays on your device

The following is stored only on your phone or tablet. We cannot see it.

Session history: every received and sent line of each Bluetooth session, with timestamps (free: last 5 sessions, Pro: last 100; the oldest are deleted first).

Trigger captures and, with Pro, long recordings.

Auto-reply rules, sequences, triggers, macros and settings.

The bridge access password, the AI agent (MCP) key and the list of devices you connected.

This data leaves the device only when you share or export it, or when you turn on the bridge, MCP or the web dashboard (section 4).

03Data sent to Mint-Soft

To keep the App working and to understand how it is used, the App talks to a server operated by Mint-Soft (mint-soft.iptime.org). It does not send your serial data, device names, location or contacts. It sends:

A random install ID: 32 random characters created on first launch. It is not derived from your hardware or advertising ID, and a new one is created after you clear app data.

At startup and when you leave the App: the install ID, platform (iOS or Android), App version, operating system version, language setting and the length of the session. The reply tells the App whether an update is required or maintenance is under way.

Usage events from a fixed list, for example paywall shown, purchase completed, bridge started or stopped, number of connected browsers, MCP turned on, automation saved or capture saved. Each event carries the install ID, the event name, App version, platform and time.

Error reports in release builds: error type, message and a shortened stack trace, the screen, App version and platform. Email addresses, MAC addresses and card-like numbers are masked before sending, but other text that happened to be part of an error message may be included. At most 20 reports per session.

Feedback you write in the App, with the install ID, category, App version, platform and language — only when you press send.

Requests for remote settings, feature flags, announcements and our other apps, which include the platform, App version, language and, for feature flags, the install ID.

This connection currently uses plain HTTP rather than HTTPS, so others on the same network path could read it. It contains no serial data, account or contact details. There is no in-app switch to turn these reports off.

04Bridge, AI agents (MCP) and web dashboard

When you turn on the bridge, MCP or the web dashboard, the phone runs a small web server on your local network. Browsers and MCP clients connect directly to your phone; the traffic never passes through Mint-Soft or any other server.

The bridge requires the access password you set and locks out repeated failed attempts. The web dashboard uses its own password, stored on the device only as a salted hash.

MCP is off by default and requires its own key. Free MCP clients can read the status, log, channel values and captures; sending commands requires Pro.

These connections use plain HTTP on your local network. Use them only on Wi‑Fi you trust and turn them off when you are done.

Whatever you do through an MCP client is also governed by that client's own privacy terms — for example, an AI service may send what it reads to its provider.

05Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version shows banner and full-screen ads from Google AdMob. Pro users see no ads.

Before ads load, the App asks for consent through Google's User Messaging Platform where required (for example in the EEA and UK) and, on iPhone and iPad, shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If consent cannot be obtained, no ads are loaded.

Google may receive your advertising ID (IDFA on iOS only if you allow tracking; AAID on Android), IP address, device and App information and ad interactions, and uses them to show, measure and, where you have agreed, personalise ads.

You can change your choice at any time in Settings › Ad privacy options (when shown in your region), in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, or in Android Settings › Google › Ads.

06Purchases (RevenueCat, Apple, Google)

BlueTerm Pro is sold through the App Store and Google Play, which handle payment; we never see your card or billing details. The App uses RevenueCat to check and restore purchases. RevenueCat receives an anonymous ID it generates, your purchase receipts and basic device and App information. We do not give it your name or email.

07Store services

The App can show Apple's or Google's review prompt, and on Android it uses Google Play's in-app update to download new versions. These features are provided by Apple and Google under their own privacy policies. When you share files, the system share sheet sends them only where you choose.

08Permissions

Bluetooth (iOS) and Nearby devices (Android 12 and later): to scan for and connect to your devices. On Android this permission is declared as not used to derive location.

Location (Android 11 and earlier only): Android requires it for Bluetooth scanning on these versions. BlueTerm does not read, store or send your location.

Local network (iOS): so a browser on the same Wi‑Fi can open the bridge.

Tracking (iOS): asked once for personalised ads; you can say no.

Internet and network state: for the services above and to show an offline notice.

BlueTerm does not access your photos, camera, microphone, contacts or calendar.

09Why we process data

We use the data in section 3 to deliver updates and maintenance notices, fix crashes and improve features (our legitimate interest in running a reliable app), and to answer feedback. Advertising is based on your consent where the law requires it. Purchase data is needed to provide what you bought. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it to build profiles of you.

10Retention and deletion

On your device: delete single sessions or all history in the History tab, or wipe everything in Settings › Data › Clear app data. Uninstalling the App also removes it.

On our server: install-ID records are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above. Clearing app data creates a new install ID, so new reports are no longer linked to the old one. To ask for deletion of records we hold, email us.

Google and RevenueCat keep data according to their own policies.

11International transfers

Mint-Soft is based in the Republic of Korea, and Google, Apple and RevenueCat may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

12Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or Korea's Personal Information Protection Act), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email app@mint-soft.com; we reply within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

13Children

BlueTerm is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the App, contact us and we will delete what we can identify.

14This website

blueterm.mint-soft.com is a static website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It uses no cookies, analytics or ads. Your theme choice is kept in your browser's local storage. Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the site securely.

15Changes to this policy

If the App's data practices change, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect, and tell you in the App when a change is significant.
